The bundled multifunctional tool includes hex keys (2.5, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, and 6.0 mm), an 8 mm hex socket, a T25 Torx key, a PH1 Phillips screwdriver, and the pedal wrench.

2. Assembly Instructions #

2.1 Handlebar Installation #

1. Use the hex key from the multifunctional tool to loosen the 4 screws on the handlebar riser and remove the riser panel.
2. Center the handlebar (display mount) on the riser base, refit the panel, and tighten the 4 screws in the illustrated sequence.
3. Verify that the "⑦" mark on the handlebar riser is horizontally centered below the panel, and that the gap between panel and base is uniform top and bottom.
4. Handlebar pitch can be adjusted by loosening the hex screw inside the steering tube; retighten after adjustment.
5. Align the arrows and connect the headlight connector.

2.2 Front Wheel Installation #

1. Remove the front wheel from its triangular padding.
2. Lift the bike and tilt the padding forward 90° so one end supports the underside of the bike near the chainring and crank.
3. Pull out the brake protector and unscrew the front axle counterclockwise.
4. Mount the front wheel onto the fork with the disc brake on the left side, aligning the rotor with the front brake caliper.
5. Insert the front axle from the left side (the side without the rotor) and tighten it with the hex key.

2.3 Pedal Installation #

• Left pedal: thread counterclockwise into the crank arm.
• Right pedal: thread clockwise into the crank arm.

2.4 Reflector Installation #

• Front reflector: clamp the reflector ring onto the handlebar, reflective face forward.
• Rear reflector: loosen the screw on the reflector ring with the Phillips screwdriver (a rubber ring sits on the inside), mount the ring onto the left side of the rear rack, and tighten from the top with the hex key.
• Wheel reflectors: install between two adjacent spokes on the same side of the front wheel, pressing lightly toward the hub; repeat on the rear wheel. Loosen—but do not fully remove—the reflector screw, orient the reflector rearward, then fully tighten.

2.5 Front Fender Installation #

Position the fender between the fork and the wheel, align the fender bracket and top mounting holes with the corresponding holes on the left, right, and top of the fork, and tighten the 3 screws with the hex key.

2.6 Saddle Height and Standover #

1. Open the saddle quick-release lever.
2. Set the saddle height—approximately hip height is recommended.
3. Fold the quick-release lever back to lock.

The maximum height is marked on the seat post; never expose the mark beyond the frame. Because the Xafari uses a step-thru frame, standover height is not applicable; the limiting dimension is the saddle height range, and the minimum insertion mark on the seat post must never be exceeded.

3. Activation and First Use #

1. Charge for 3 seconds to wake the vehicle, then press and hold the power button to turn it on.
2. Scan the on-screen QR code with the Segway-Ninebot App and follow the prompts to complete activation.
3. Set a 4-digit unlock code. AirLock enables automatically after activation and can be turned off separately in the App.

Ride preparation: wear protective gear, fold up the kickstand, press and hold the power button to turn the bike on, then grip the handlebar and pedal or gently press the throttle to move forward.

• On-bike charging: open the rubber charging port cover and connect the charger.
• Off-bike battery charging: insert the key into the lock on the left side of the frame, turn counterclockwise to open and remove the battery compartment cover, disconnect the battery-to-vehicle cable, remove the battery, open its rubber charging port cover, and connect the charger.
• Charge status: the charger indicator is red while charging (charging status is shown on the display) and turns green when charging is complete.

• Read all instructions before use.
• Close supervision is required when the product is used near children.
• Never insert fingers or hands into the product.
• Do not use the product if the power cord or output cord is worn, has damaged insulation, or shows other signs of damage.
• Do not modify or attempt to repair the vehicle's electrical systems except as directed in the use and maintenance instructions.
• Operating environment: −4°F (−20°C) to 122°F (50°C). Charging environment: 32°F (0°C) to 104°F (40°C) — charging outside this range is strictly prohibited.
